Hosting and server logs
This website is provided using services from Cloudflare. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
When this website is accessed, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection and request data. This may include, in particular, the IP address, date and time of access, the requested resource, browser and device information, referrer information and other technical metadata.
The processing is necessary to provide the website securely, reliably and efficiently and to protect it against misuse and attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure and reliable provision of this website.
Cloudflare operates a global network. Technical metadata may therefore also be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Cloudflare refers to mechanisms including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
Retention depends on the Cloudflare service used and its configuration. Data is processed or stored only for as long as necessary for the provision, security and operation of the service or where statutory obligations require this.
Business enquiries by email and telephone
If you contact AKOPIAN CONSULTING by email or telephone, I process the contact and communication data you voluntarily provide in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.
Emails sent to my business email address are forwarded using Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail mailbox. Cloudflare provides the technical email forwarding service. The messages are then received and stored using Google's Gmail service.
This may involve processing, in particular:
- your email address
- your name and, where applicable, company information
- the subject and content of your message
- technical email metadata
- any other information you voluntarily provide
Where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Other business enquiries are processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is to receive, manage and respond to business communications.
I use services provided by Cloudflare and Google for email communication.
Cloudflare Email Routing is used to forward incoming messages. According to Cloudflare, the content of emails forwarded through Email Routing is not stored as part of the routing service.
The destination mailbox is provided through Google's Gmail service. For users in the European Economic Area, Google consumer services are generally provided by Google Ireland Limited.
Google may process personal data on servers located outside the country in which the user is located. Further information about Google's processing of personal data is available in Google's privacy information.
Personal data relating to business enquiries is retained only for as long as necessary to process the enquiry, manage any resulting business relationship or comply with statutory retention obligations.
This website does not provide an online contact form.
Fonts
This website uses locally hosted Cormorant Garamond and Manrope fonts. No connection to Google Fonts or another external font provider is required merely to display these fonts.
External links
This website links to external websites, including LinkedIn. These are ordinary links, not embedded social widgets; visiting our pages does not load content from those services.
When you actively follow an external link, your browser connects to that provider, which may receive your IP address and other technical request data. After you leave this website, the respective provider's privacy practices apply.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you may have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Access to your personal data (Art. 15).
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16).
- Erasure of your personal data (Art. 17).
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18).
- Data portability (Art. 20).
- Objection to processing (Art. 21).
To exercise your rights, contact [email protected].
If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Right to object
Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object for reasons relating to your particular situation. We will stop that processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority under Art. 77 GDPR, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
You may in particular contact the supervisory authority responsible in Lower Saxony:
